What is Rentate.com?
Rentate is web based property management software, allowing property owners, managers and landlords to manage each and every aspect of their rental life cycle - from advertising of vacancies to managing work orders and leases. Rentate can also be classified as simple communication tool between the landlord and tenant.

Who should use Rentate?
Rentate is perfect for anyone who needs to manage his or her property portfolio. Rentate is an excellent choice for single apartment landlords, multi unit property managers or any other real estate professionals. Basically, if you need to manage your apartment, tenant or lease, Rentate is the right choice for you.

Where can I use Rentate?
Rentate is an elegantly-designed SaaS - Software as a Service. You do not need to install any software or purchase new hardware as Rentate can be used with any modern web browser that supports web-standards. We recommend Mozilla Firefox, Apple's Safari, or Internet Explorer 6 or higher. We cannot guarantee Blinksale will work on other web browsers.

What is included with my subscription?
Your subscription includes all services provided within the system in addition to the seperate tenant's system - which allows your tenants to login and interact with you.

Does Rentate work in my country?
Rentate is a global product and works across the globe & supports different currencies and time zones. However, if your currency is not listed - drop us a line and we will be more than happy to add it.

I like Rentate, but it doesn't have all the features I need. What kind of updates can I expect to see?
We are dedicated to improving Rentate and providing timely updates with the features that people need the most.

DATA SECURITY
Answers to Data, Backup, Security related questions

Is our data safe and secure?
Absolutely. We store your data on secure servers that are backed up twice daily. We protect your Rentate account with hash based password security, inactive session timeouts and SSL-based security which is the same security used on credit card pages and banking websites. Trust us - it's safe!
In addition, no Rentate staff will ever view your private data without your express permission. The data is held in database tables which have limited access to our team of staff. Absolute integrity is guaranteed on our part.

Can we obtain a backup of our own data?
We are currently working on a facility to easily backup your private data. This will be available at the end of 2009 and relies on the API being complete.

What is your backup policy?
There are two parts to backup - your files and your database.
For the database, we run 2 backups of all Rentate databases daily, 12 hours apart. The backups are stored at a secure external facility.
For the files, firstly we store all your files on hard drives in redundant array configuration so that even if a hard drive fails, another one will be on-hand to immediately take over. Finally we securely copy and store all your files at another location.
In the unlikely event of disaster, a fire for example, we have a disaster plan in place to get your installation and data back online within hours.
Your data is safe!

What happens to data if I do not pay for a long time?
If you pay your monthly subscription, you will not be able to log in and use your information. After 2 months of inactivity your data will be automatically deleted form our servers.

Is Landlord locked into contract?
No, your contract is pay as you go every month. You can easily delete your account from within Rentate any time. However please note that information of deleted account can not be restored, so you will loose any information upon cancellation of your account.

What about my Privacy?
Rentate adheres to a strict privacy policy, which ensures that your data is kept private and secure. Our privacy statement expressly states that we will not provide your personal data to any third party. For more information, please refer to our privacy policy.

How much does the software cost?
Rentate has a price plan to suit the needs of landlord of any size. Please view our PRice Plans for more information and a plan that suits you.

Can I change plans?
Yes - at any time you can upgrade or downgrade the plan you are currently subscribed to. Simple click on the link "Plans" in your Personal Settings will do that.

Can I cancel, upgrade or downgrade later?
No problem - Rentate is a monthly service and you can cancel, upgrade or downgrade any time.

Which forms of payment do you accept?
We take our payments through PayPal. So, if you have a Paypal account, you can just use that. If you don't have a Paypal account, you can quickly and easily pay using Visa, Mastercard or American Express.

I am unsure about something, can I ask you a question before signing up?
Of course! We are happy to answer any questions. Just use the contact form to send us a message. Also, remember that the first 14 days are free - so you really have nothing to lose.

Why are you giving us 14 days free?
We want you to be 100% happy before parting with your cash so feel free to create account with no obligations. Even if you choose a paid-plan, we will not take you credit card details until your free trial period expires.

When do I pay?
Near the end of your 14 daya free trial, or any time during that period you can click "Settings" in your dashboard and upgrade your membership and pay your bill. You can also cancel with no obligation or hassle. If you decide to continue using Rentate, you will be asked to provide your credit card details for the monthly payment.

Do I pay monthly or annually?
Your credit card or PayPal account will be charged automatically charged every month. Again, you can cancel at any time. If you prefer to pay annually, you can contact us and we will be happy to help, and provide discount of 10% of your annual bill!

Do you offer discounts to non-profit organizations or educational bodies?
Yes. We deal with each case individually depending on the type of organization. Please contact landlord@rentate.com outlining the type of organization you are and we would be happy to help you.

Do you offer refunds?
The short answer is no. We provide our customers with every opportunity to try the product, including a 14 day free trial. However like most software, after the product has been purchased we can not offer a refund.
